The legendary thorin's hammer is a one of a kind magic maul with a blunt head, acclaimed as a gift made from the collective effort of mountain and storm giants to their dwarven friend; Thorin Brightbeard. The maul which was made in the hands of the mountain giants was given the magical ability to grow and shrink in size to fit in its wielders hand and to give them the ability to grow and shrink in size with it, when construction of the maul was completed storm giants laced the handle of the maul with enchanted runes of thunder & lightning, giving it the ability to raze the earth with falling lightning and create the booming sound of thunder. There is a colony of dwarves known to worship Thorin as a god, they claim that he had 'ascended' and left his hammer behind to be wielded by those whom he see's worthy...

You gain a +3 bonus to attack rolls made with this magic weapon., Thorin's Hammer deals a number of both bludgeoning damage and lightning damage based on its current size, as shown in the chart below.

The wielder can use their bonus action to expend a charge casting Enlarge/Reduce, Increasing or decreasing both their own size and the size of thorin's hammer by one for every 1 charge expended., The bludgeoning & lightning damage that thorin's hammer deals based on its size.

While attuned to thorin's hammer, you can expend 1 charge to make a ranged magical attack with the hammer, by pointing it at a designated area thorin's hammer casts either Thunderclap or Lightning bolt. The target and every creature within 30 feet of it must succeed on a DC (10 + Wisdom) Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn. Thorin's hammer regains (1d12) expended charges daily at dawn.

Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
