While attuned to this medallion, you gain +1 to your spell attack rolls and spell DC.
Siphon- Whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, as a reaction you can snatch a fragment of its soul, killing it instantly and you gain 1d8 temporary hit points. This ability can be used to contain 4 soul fragments at a time. Undead and constructs are immune to this ability.
Profane Manipulation- As an action on your turn, you can release any amount of soul fragments from the medallion to cast one of the following spells (DC15):
- 1 Soul Fragment: Inflict Wounds
- 2 Soul Fragments: Bestow Curse
- 3 Soul Fragments: Blight
Casting a spell this way also consumes all temporary hit points you currently have.
Mortal Exchange- While the Soul Siphon has 4 soul fragments, you can consume all of them to cast the Life Transference spell and you gain 1 point of exhaustion.
Curse- This medallion is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the medallion, keeping it within reach at all times. If you are reduced to 0 hit points while attuned to this item, your soul is taken into the ruby, killing you instantly. While your soul is captured this way, you are immune to necromancy spells such as Animate Dead that would turn you into an Undead.
