Chronoxiphoi are experimental arcane weapons that are known to bond with, and grow more powerful with each user. Those bonded to chronoxiphoi gain an altered perception of time that enables them to react to events faster than usual. They grow more powerful as their use gains experience, and grant them more powers. As the user becomes more attuned to the blade however, their personalities tend to get torn across different timelines, though such users often gain the ability to use those echoes in combat. A Chronoxiphos, after the spilling of vast quantities of blood with the blade grants its bearer greater combat prowess, with visions of the future enabling them to strike at weak points. They may also increase their own speed relative to normal flow of time, or slow down an opponents, or see a limited time into the future.

At Tier II, the Chronoxiphos grants a +2 to Initiative rolls made while attuned to the weapon, and the user gets +2 to attack and damage rolls made with it. The Chronoxiphos possesses a 9 charges that can be used to cast spells, which recharge after a long rest. The bearer may cast Augury expending 1 charge, Slow expending 2 charges, or Haste expending 4 (DC 15 save to resist). Those attuned to a Chronoxiphos must, once per month make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, if the user fails, they must, as soon as possible, advance to 9th level in fighter.

The Chronoxiphos may upgrade to a Tier V Weapon if a character of at least 15th level, and who is a Fighter of at least 9th level, who has adopted the Echo Knight Martial Archetype. In order to upgrade the weapon, the attuned user must perform a ritual whereby they must sacrifice a version of themselves from an alternate timeline to the blade.

Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
