Thyssandrial is an elegant mithral and silver longsword. Her hilt is made of shining silver that resembles a dragon with its wings outstretched. The wings act as the crossguards and the head seems to breathe out the mithral blade. When unsheathed a cold white mist emanates from the blade.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Frozen Power. While wielding this weapon you are immune to cold damage. In addition, when you hit a creature with Thyssandrial you deal an extra 2d6 cold damage.
Silver Spirit. You can use your action to cast Illusory Dragon at 8th level (DC 17). The dragon resembles an ancient (female) silver dragon, although huge rather than gargantuan, and can only deal cold damage with its breath weapon. The spell does not require you to concentrate on it and acts at the end of your turn (no action required). The dragon chooses how it acts but might obey your verbal commands. Alternatively, you can cast the divination spell. Once you cast one of these spells, you cannot cast either again until you complete a long rest.
Chromatic Destroyer. Attacks made with this weapon against chromatic dragons deal maximum damage and score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. When you reduce an adult or older chromatic dragon to 0 hit points with this weapon, you gain an additional random permanent determined by a table the DM has.
Sentience. Thyssandrial is a sentient lawful good weapon with an Intelligence of 18, a Wisdom of 15, and a Charisma of 23. She has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common and Draconic, and can communicate with her wielder telepathically. Her voice is usually powerful and commanding, but if she wants she can sound tender and motherly. While you are attuned to her, she understands every language you know.
Personality. Thyssandrial is an honor-bound entity. She demands respect where it is due but is also very humble. She is generous with compliments and is tender and caring when a friend suffers. In the midst of battle, she becomes focused and counsels her wielder. If she feels humiliated, she can become enraged and demand to be used in a certain way. If her wielder doesn’t listen, she can turn off any of her powers except her bonus to attack and damage rolls. Above everything else, Thyssandrial hates chromatic dragons. She will do anything in her power to absolutely obliterate them, but will not recklessly endanger a wielder.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, creature of good alignment, Damage, Combat, Versatile, Sap
