While attuned to this skeleton key, the user can spend 1 minute tracing the shape of a door on a flat surface, then insert the key into the surface, which opens like a door when the key is turned.
The door opens to a pocket dimension that is 30 ft in each dimension, and contains workbenches and artisan tools that match the proficiencies of the person to which the key is attuned. If the attuned person has no artisan tool proficiencies, the room is just a storeroom. Otherwise, the appearance of the workshop is at the discretion of the person attuned to the key. The tools and furniture created by the workshop can be removed to work on project outside the workshop, but once the workshop door is closed those items disappear and reappear back inside.
The key can be removed from the door once it is open. The door remains a passage to the workshop until it is closed. If the key is inside the workshop when the door is closed, it can be used on the inside to reopen the door to its previous location. If that location is no longer capable of opening the door, such as being damaged or buried, the door then opens to the nearest surface that meets the requirements for the door.
Any creatures or items left inside the workshop while the door is closed, remain inside the workshop. The workshop maintains a livable atmosphere at all times, though does not provide food or water. Items such as a Bag of Holding or Portable Hole can be brought and left inside the workshop safely.
Due to the magical nature of the workshop emphasizing work, characters are unable to take a long rest while inside.
