Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a Requires Attunement)

This heavy dark metal longbow bears the marks of fine Dwarven crafting, with both gold and alchemical silver weaved into the obsidian body of the bow. The string is made from from what looks like a thread of mithril infused fabric, making it unbreakable and strong enough to fire an arrow at incredible force.

This weapon counts as a Longbow + 2 and arrows fired with this bow deal an additional 1d6 piercing damage.

When attuned to this item, the wielder can make use of the weapon's special attacks. This weapon can contain a maximum of 8 charges, the user can restore 1d6+1 charges during a Long Rest. The wielder can spend weapon charges and activate the following features, using Actions/Bonus Actions or Reactions where appropriate:

  • Twin Shot (2 Charges) - When firing the an arrow, you can use your Bonus Action to create an echo your arrow which targets a second creature within range.
  • Piercing Shot (2 Charges) - When firing an arrow, you can use your Bonus Action to infuse the arrow with ethereal energy. When fired, the arrow will pass through and hit all creatures in a line up to 120ft.
  • Defensive Shell (3 Charges) - When attacked, the wielder can use their Reaction to encase themselves in a shield of Force. This increases their AC by 4 until the start of your next turn.
  • Lightning Bolt (3 Charges) - When firing an arrow, the wielder can use their Action to transform the arrow into a bolt of lightning, casting the Lightning Bolt spell.
  • Whirlwind of Arrows (5 Charges) - When firing an arrow, the wielder can use their Action to summon a whirlwind where the arrow strikes. Any creatures within 20ft of where the arrow lands must make a DC16 Strength save, on a failed save the creatures take 4d8 Force damage and are thrown 15ft in the air before falling prone. On a successful save, creatures take half as much damage and maintain their footing.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
