Artifacts of the Godborn, are legendary artifacts that grow in power with the experience, force of will, and strength of character of the bearer. A dormant state still imbues a modicum of power to the attuned, but with time, perseverance, and personal growth, the artifact can regain access to some of its lost ability in its awakened state. Eventually, through extreme personal challenge, evolution, and achievement, the artifact can reach its full potential in its exalted state. This is the true power of the artifact, the state when it was originally utilized in the Rune Wars to stop the power of the World Runes from destroying Runeterra.

Yggdrasil's Twig is a part of a greater whole. A small untouched branch of Yggdrasil, the first tree planted by Goddesses of Nature, The Dreamers. This twig is imbued with the last remaining restorative power of the once great tree. The Twig has been corrupted by icathian energy, and can only be restored to its former state by healing over 500 hit points over time.

Corrupted State

• While Yggdrasil's Twig is corrupted, it still has limited access to it's restorative energy at the cost of it's wielder's life force. You have a pool of hit points equal to double your druid level. Any number of these hit points can be distributed to a creature as a bonus action. Due to the corruption of the twig however, when you distribute hit points from the twig, you take necrotic damage equal to the number of hit points that you distributed. 
• You may cast the spells Barkskin and Pass Without Trace at 2nd level once per long rest.

 Dormant State

• The Twig is no longer corrupted. You no longer take damage from distribution of hit points from the pool.
• You may cast Aid at the level equal to half your druid level rounded down once per long rest

Awakened State

• You may Tree Stride at will out of combat and take up to four other willing creatures with you.
• While using the twig as a spellcasting focus, your spell attack bonus and spell save dc both increase by 1
  
  
  

Exalted State

• Your pool of healing now cures diseases and grants temporary hp equal to the amount of hit points allocated
• Once per week as a bonus action, you may summon Gumbo, The Titanic Treant to fight at your side, you may sustain his magic for 10 minutes in total before he returns to the Dream Plane
