Gain +1 to attack and damage rolls with this weapon and deal an extra 1d10 lightning damage on hit.
While attuned to the Thunder Axe, you gain the following effects:
- Your Strength and Constitution scores each increase by 4 each, and can exceed 20 but not 30.
- You gain a +1 bonus to your Armor Class.
- You gain proficiency in the Survival skill (choose another skill available to your class if you already have proficiency in this skill).
- You have disadvantage on animal handling checks, and animals within 30 feet of you have an immediate distrust of you.
As an action on your turn while you are attuned to it, you can make a ranged weapon attack with the axe, hurling it as if it had the thrown property with a normal range of 30 feet and a long range of 90 feet. Whether attack hits or misses, the hammer unleashes a thunderclap audible out to 300 feet. The target and every creature within 15 feet of it must succeed on a DC 19 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d12 lightning damage and 2d12 thunder damage and is stunned until the end of your next turn. On a success, the target takes half the damage and is not stunned. As part of the attack, you can compel the axe to magically fly back to your hand.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
