Weapon (laser rifle), legendary

Alternate Reactor Cannon

An energy weapon from the future, it differs from other weapons of its time, fitted with a new type of energy reactor that allows for higher energy output and personal forcefields, however the only place it can be found in the present day is through rips in time (placed at the DM's discretion)

Main Attack

The main attack of the A.R.C Cannon is a beam of super-hot plasma, however because the weapon is currently a prototype the beam can only be fired for a few seconds until the Cannon overheats and uses a charge, the volatile nature of the reactor on the weapon only allows for ten charges until it has to recharge which is done while the character takes a short or long rest

Plasma Ball

The runoff energy from the powerful reactor on the weapon allows for a charge to be used firing a ball of plasma from the weapon similar to the fireball spell from the present time. The fireball uses one charge from the pool of ten

Personal Forcefield

The A.R.C Cannon projects a forcefield around the weapons holder that takes shape as a hexagonal grid around the holder which gives a bonus to AC and also holds the user steady which prevents them from being stunned

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Immunity: Stunned, Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Slow
