A set of short swords passed down through a Teifling’s bloodline. Given to the first of each families line that made the pact with Asmodeus. A dark gift of sorts from Asmodeus, activating these blades requires a gift of life in return.
To activate: As a bonus action, they can be unsheathed. Then One must pour their life force into them and chose a damage type: Acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, thunder, poison, psychic, necrotic, or radiant. They must then pour hp into the swords. After activation, on top of the base weapon damage, they will deal extra damage of the chosen type based on the amount of hp given. 2=1d4, 3=1d6, 4=1d8, 5=1d10, 6=1d12, 10=1d20. The swords will stay active until sheathed, dropped, deactivated as a bonus action, or if the player chooses to change the damage type (in which case the hp gift must be made again). If poison is chosen as a damage type, a DC-17 constitution save is required by the enemy to avoid being poisoned for 1 minute.
Using the swords increases Asmodeus’s affinity toward the one using them and he may contact them at a certain point to tempt them with a direct pact with him. As his affinity for them grows, he seeks to draw them into his sway by increasing the Number of damage die to 2 at level 3, 3 at level 6, 4 at level 9, 5 at level 12, 6 at level 15, and 8 at level 18. At level 15, the life force requirement is doubled.
DM Notes: Attunement to the set counts as one attuned item. Must have both swords to attune and activate.
