Melee Weapon (martial); Finesse, Reach
This weapon is a 10-foot rope with a small metal knife attacked to its end. Used by monks who would anchor one end of this flexible weapon to one hand while swinging the dart with another. Using centripetal force, the monk is able to use their feet, arms, elbows, and body to launch the dart toward the enemy before it is pulled back.
Normal Attack: Deal 1d4 (slashing) plus your Dex modifier on a successful attack roll.
Special Attack: Special Attacks can only be made on your first attack during your Attack Action and must be announced before the roll is made. Should your attack roll be successful, you make a Pull Attack. This Special Attack pulls the enemy creature 5 feet towards the player. The creature can make a Strength check against the Rope Dart's DC (8+proficency bonus + DEX or STR modifier). Special Attacks with this weapon deal no damage and forfeit the rest of your Attack Action.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
