While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. When you take the attack action, you can use this shield as a 1d6 martial weapon. Once per turn, you can throw the shield as an action as though it had the thrown property (20/60). The shield returns to you after throwing unless a 1 or 2 is rolled, in which case you lose the AC bonus from it until the start of your next turn. On hit, the shield imposes a DC (10+STR bonus) STR check on creatures Medium or smaller to avoid being knocked prone. On an attack roll of 19 or 20, the shield bounces to an additional target within the range of the original throw, with its own attack roll and knockdown check.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
