TinkerTop’s Transistor Blade is a mechanical sword that slides into abladed shield for storage. It is made from a highly conductive metal that transforms friction into static electricity and stores it within batteries inside the sword’s hilt. The sword and shield can interlock turning the weapon into a great axe that deals massive damage, and can discharge the stored electricity within the batteries through transistors to amplify the electrical discharge. Dealing lightning damage to all surrounding enemies.
Sword and Shield mode:
- When in this mode you gain the standard benefits of an equipped shield (+2AC)
- 1d8 slashing damage, and 1d10 slashing damage when wielded with both hands.
- Each landed strike and successful block ( when an opponent misses) adds 1 charge up to a maximum of 5.
- Charges last for 10 minutes.
Axe mode:
- Transformation into Axe mode requires a bonus action
- When in axe mode, you no longer benefit from the +2 to AC the Sword & shield mode grants you.
- 1d12 damage.
- Reach 10ft
- Transistor Discharge: You can spend 1 charge to deal 2d6 lightning damage to all creatures in a 15’ cone as part of your attack when in axe mode. You can spend more than 1 charge at a time dealing an additional 2d6 lightning damage for each charge depleted.
Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with this weapon.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
