Forged as a handheld siege weapon by the dwarves of old for a war that was never fought. The blackened hammerhead is in the shape of an ornate rams head that seems to exhale steam from it's nostrils in tandem with it's wielders breathing.  

Sentience. Xangarsum is a sentient Chaotic neutral weapon with an Intelligence of 10, a Wisdom of 6, and a Charisma of 12. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 30 feet.

The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Common and Dwarvish.

Personality. A short-tempered Dwarf named Drok lives within Xangarsum.  Drok is fiery in temperment and through years of being lost deep under the earth and never being utilized for it's intended purpose. Drok has been driven to the brink of insanity. Insatiably craving the destruction of any and all objects, constructs and structures around it. 

Wielding Xangarsum grants the following benefits

• You can speak, read, and write Dwarvish.
• You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
• deals double damage to objects, constructs and structures.
• While holding the warhammer, you can use your action to strike the ground and unleash a destructive wave.  Each creature in a 20-foot cube originating from you must make a DC15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 7d6 force damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed. The ground in the area becomes difficult terrain. This ability can only be used once per day. And when it is used, Xangarsum becomes a normal warhammer until the next day

 

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
