This staff shaped like a wooden longsword can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While holding it, you have a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls.
This longsword made of wood has 8 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d6 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wooden longsword loses its properties and becomes a nonmagical quarterstaff in the shape of a longsword.
Spells
You can use an action to expend 1 or more of the wooden longsword's charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC:
- barkskin (3 charges)
- darkvision (2 charges)
- jump (1 charge)
- longstrider (2 charges)
You can also use an action to cast the pass without trace spell from the staff without using any charges.
Treehouse Form. You can use an action to stab the wooden longsword into fertile earth and expend 4 charges to transform the staff into a healthy tree with a treehouse in it. The tree is 60 feet tall and has a 10-foot-diameter trunk, and its branches at the top spread out in a 20-foot radius. The tree appears ordinary but radiates a faint aura of transmutation magic if targeted by detect magic. The tree has a door at it's base that is hidden with magic that can be found with a DC 15 Arcana check by anyone who is not an ally. While touching the tree and using another action to speak its command word, you return the wooden longsword to its normal form. Any creature in the tree falls when it reverts to its wooden longsword form.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
