You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. The Umbra is a lawful neutral sentient magic weapon with an intelligence of 18, wisdom of 15 and charisma of 22. The Umbra is extremely self- conscious and will yell at it’s owner if it isn’t cleaned after a battle. It likes offering (bad) advice and is VERY annoying. The Umbra knows Common and Abbysal and can speak out loud. It has 30 feet of devil’s sight, meaning it can see through both normal and magical darkness.

The Umbra’s consciousness and abilities can be transferred to another weapon in a 1- hour ritual, which requires at least 50gp worth of precious gems, which the spirit of the Umbra consumes.

On a critical hit with the Umbra, roll a D100 to determine the result.

1-20- the Umbra becomes a +0 weapon until the end of the next long rest

21-40- the Umbra becomes a +2 weapon until the end of the next long rest

41-60- the Umbra deals extra necrotic damage equal to 3 times your proficiency bonus.

61-70- You recover hit points equal to half the damage  dealt, rounding down.

71-80- All creatures within a 15- feet circle of the Umbra take 3d6 necrotic damage. This damage isn’t doubled.

81-90- the Umbra deals 1d4 extra necrotic damage until the end of the next long rest.

91-100- the Umbra’s damage bonus is also doubled for this critical hit.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
