This sword is a hilt with the pieces of the greatsword hovering above it. It weighs approximately 10 pounds as you only hold the hilt and the blade pieces float and maintain position above the hilt. The sword has the following stats: +4 to hit, reach 10 feet, one target, hit: 8 (1d10 +3) slashing damage and black lightning arcs along the wound.
Inscribed on the hilt is "Xxkz" and those without the language Infernal see a mix of useless letters. Those who can read this in Infernal cannot pronounce it, but recognize the name of the most brutal and acclaimed champion of Phlegethos, the fourth level of Hell. Xxkz fought for his rulers, Belial and Fierna with great ferocity on the battlefield. Xxkz is very well known in demonic environments as being a ruthless and vial monster. He has slain more fiends, celestials, and monsters than any other being in existence. At one time serving as a general of Belial, Xxkz has moved up to a bounty hunter of sorts, though still reveling in the glorious combat of the battlefield.
One day Xxkz waged war on Bahamut and his followers. The demon warrior matched blows with the diety, but was cursed to be removed from the battlefield. Bound to his own greatsword, Bahamut won the day by trapping the demon and casting him out. Destroying the sword in the process. But Xxkz's power had not faltered and he held the sword together. Later found by a human warrior named Terrax, the sword gave him great abilities until the day he used the sword to slain someone.
Terrax transformed, or rather absorbed the essence of Xxkz. As his hand touched the hilt, he felt raised letters, hearing the pronunciation I'm his mind, Terrax called out to "Aeon". Using the demon's true name, Terrax became Xxkz and the demon was free, though bound to the body and soul of the mortal wielder of the greatsword.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Shorthand description is that after the wielder of this weapon slays/kills anything living, they become Xxkz, replacing their stats and skills with that of Xxkz's. After Xxkz reverses it-exit combat-the player can enter combat and whisper the name of the power in the sword to change back, giving the monster control., Sapphire ring must sit on middle finger of dominant hand., Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
