Affixed to the back of the shield is A small plaque engraved with, the name of his maker, the forge he came from, his home city, and a few instructions for him to continue working and return home, and at the very bottom, in the most beautifully simple lettering, carved with the grace only achievable by a machine, is his name, Timber Driftwood. Each word on the plaque, but the name most strongly, would glow brigher or dimmer, shifting with his mood. This plaque was infused with his memory of all of the moments between, the decisions, the actions, the choices that brought him to his place in the cosmos, and with it the memory of the name he made for himself in the world between the worlds.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
