A small shard or shards of heavy, hard rock with a glass-like fracture across their faces. This material is black with a smooth, shiny texture that does not reflect light. As it stands, finding this material is incredibly hard as it only natural occurs on the neutral and negative outer planes as huge obelisks, and can rarely be found on the material planes following botched summoning, around overused teleportation circles or inside some dead magic zones, in small volumes.

This material seems mostly inert of any magical properties unless exposed to fiends. Regardless of how small a shard of this material may be, no demon or devil is able to live it will act as if the substance is incredibly heavy. Additionally, when placed on a fiend, it will become incredibly laden down and be unable to stand or moved, resulting in the 'prone' condition. Because of this, Black Soulglass is popular when performing rituals involving the summoning of fiends or when forming warding circles to keep them out of an area.

Black Soulglass can be used in one of two ways:

1) Crushed and turned into a chalk specifically used for creating summoning circles or zones of protection.

2) Carved into rings to feed rope or chain threw to entangle fiends or keep them bound to a specific place.
