This trident is immune to rust or decay. It slowly drips sea water when in Trident form. It assumes the shape of an ornate oyster fork when not being welded. Saying the command word causes it to become a trident or return to its fork state.
Attuned creatures can use one charge from this weapon to cast the Lightning Bolt spell at level 3. This item has 7 charges and regains all of them when left in the rain of a thunderstorm to be hit by lightning (taking at least 1 hour) or regains one charge per hour when left floating in the open sea. (Recharging this item is meant to be challenging.)
Proficiency with a Trident allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
