You can use an action to place these shackles on an incapacitated creature. The shackles adjust to fit a creature of Small to Large size. In addition to serving as mundane manacles, the shackles cast a version of the imprisonment spell. A shackled creature remains incapacitated until the shackles are removed or deactivated with dispel magic cast at 9th level or an antimagic field. While affected by this item, the creature doesn't need to breathe, eat, or drink, and it doesn't age. Divination spells can't locate or perceive the target.

The shackles are created with a single key that unlocks them. This key cannot be duplicated or replaced. Attempts to pick the lock without the key must succeed on a DC 30 Dexterity check; if this check fails, an enchantment is triggered that prevents the lock from being accessed, even by its key, for 24 hours. Casting the knock spell does not open the lock, but does lower the lockpick DC to 15 for 10 minutes.
