Weapon (halberd), legendary (requires attunement by a one who possesses the control rune for the weapon's core)

"Halfling overengineering at it's bloody finest! Held together by adamantine, magic, and just a little prayer. Brace 'er into the ground and hold on to your butt!" -Grandmaster Toddle, probably.

An overengineered monster of a weapon, this weapon sits at an oversized length suited to heavy warriors. The culmination of Grandmaster Toddle's pyromania and General Baumgartner's lack of regard for his personal safety, this heavy weapon combines the versatility of a halberd with the exceptional damage of reverse-engineered Black Legion matchlocks. Having oversized the weapon and slapped in a magic core that allows the weapon to reflect powder charges into a minute of magical flame along the polearm's head, the weapon itself can hold a miniature explosive cannonball. Wrought from adamantine, the weapon is unshakably durable but also extra heavy. However this doesn't mean in the event of a backfire the weapon won't be just as dangerous to the wielder as it is to others.

The weapon can be swung and operated as an ordinary halberd through the addition of an axe head and various handles along the weapon to apply the same versatility. It may required some specialized training, though. Additionally the haft of the weapon can be used as a bludgeoning strike to reflect the weapon's nature as a polearm. The weapon must be attuned by one who possesses a specialized custom control rune in order to fire properly, as the sheer force of the shot is still too much for the magical core alone.

Backfire: When rolling to hit when discharging the cannon part of the weapon and rolling a Natural 1, the weapon backfires. The user takes 1d10 Force Damage and must make a STR Saving Throw with a DC of 16. If failed, the user is knocked back 10 ft. and is rendered prone. The weapon must then be rerolled as normal.

The weapon fits a single miniature cannonball, reflected as one of it's charges. See the weapon modifiers to reflect damage. When firing, the weapon backfires on a Natural 1. If not taking the Brace action with your bonus action to fire, the weapon has a disadvantage to hit when fired.

One of the powder charges used to fire the weapon can be expended to light the blade afire using the magic core. This deals an additional 2d6 fire damage.

Proficiency with a Halberd allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
