Weapon (sickle), artifact (requires attunement)

One of 50 divine artifacts forged for the gods of the Forgotten Realms by the Godsmith. A fearsome hand sickle bearing the mark of Auril the IceDawn. As deadly as a blizzard, the steel is so cold to the touch that it always has a thin layer of frost coating its blade. At its base, it deals 1d4 cold damage and works as an arcane or holy focus. However, the deadly nature of a blizzard lies in its inescapable nature. If a creature is hit by Winter's bite again and not immune to cold damage, it deals 2d4 cold damage instead, and reduces the creature's speed by 5 feet. A third strike will deal 3d4 cold damage and reduce the creature's speed by 5 again, slowing the creature and dealing more damage with each subsequent hit. The damage caps out at 10d4 cold damage per hit, and the stack does not transfer to another creature, even if the new creature is a duplicate/clone/twin of the victim.

Additionally, if you strike a creature with a movement speed of zero, you may take 1d4 cold damage and cast Slow (DC15), Hold Person/Monster, or Sleep.

It is said that owners can be vulnerable to Auril's influence, becoming addicted to the act of freezing and killing the unworthy.

Proficiency with a Sickle allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
