Witch's Soul. This blade has 5 charges. When you make an attack roll with this weapon, you can choose to expend a charge and roll a d6, consulting the following table to determine an additional effect that takes place.
d6 Result | Effect |
1 | Dark purple needles shoot out from the crystal on the blade's pommel, causing all creatures within 30 ft. of you, including you, to take 1d6 piercing damage, and 1d10 necrotic damage. |
2 | This blade begins to glow a sickening red - if you hit with your next attack, you regain hit points equal to the damage you deal for that attack. |
3 | A wretched eye peers over your head, and fires a beam. Choose a creature within 60 ft. of you - that creature must make a DEX saving throw (DC 15). On a failure, the target is Poisoned, its speed becomes 0, and gains no benefit to its speed until the start of your next turn. |
4 | Heavy darkness seeps out from the crystal on the sword's pommel. The area within 60 ft. of you is covered in magical darkness, which you can see through while holding this blade. This darkness shrinks to 30 ft. at the start of your next turn, and dissipates completely the turn after. |
5 | After your next attack, you cause blood that has been spilt by the target to congeal around the crystal on the blade's pommel - the target of your attack must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or become Paralyzed until the start of your next turn. |
6 | The handle of this blade grows a set of spindly-looking claws around your hand. If the next attack you make hits a creature within range, the target takes an additional 3d10 necrotic damage. If you miss with the attack, you take this damage instead. |
This blade regains 1d4+1 expended charges daily at dawn.
