Weapon (warhammer), varies (requires attunement)

This magic warhammer is possessed by the spirit of a hag, wrongfully killed by a group of adventurers. Yarthana is a patron to Hexblade Warlocks, but can be wielded by others.

While attuned to Yarnatha, the Orchard Keeper, you have proficency in warhammers.

Sentience. Yarnatha, the Orchard Keeper is a sentient, Neutral Good warhammer with an Intelligence of 16, a Wisdom of 18, and a Charisma of 15. It has hearing and darkvision out to the range of 60 feet. It can speak, read, and understand Common and any other language known by wielder. The hammer seeks to hunt down the ones who slayed her, unknowing that they are long dead.

Yarnatha, the Orchard Keeper has a kindly personality, taking a grandmother like role towards the wielder, becoming somewhat protective of them, but can be rather rude to others, especially if proven a threat to their wielder. If the wielder willingly damages an apple tree with Yarnatha, she unattunes herself. The wielder must make a DC 14 charisma (Persuasion) check and apologize to Yarnatha, who reattunes on a pass. If failed, you can try again in 10 minutes.

Proficiency with a warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

Scaling. Yarnatha, the Orchard Keeper scales in level with the wielder, gaining new abilities as detailed below.

Goodapple. Starting at level 1, your weapon grows a highly nutritious apple. Once per day, an apple grows at the bottom of the handle. It can be plucked and eaten, sustaining a creature for a whole day. The apple grows back at dawn of every day. Eating this apple also gains back 1d4 hit points, adding an extra 1d4 every 5 levels (2d4 at level 5, 3d4 at level 10, ect.)

Not the Bees. Starting at level 5, you gain the ability to summon a swarm of bees to attack enemies of the battlefield. You gain the ability to cast the Infestation cantrip while attuned to this weapon. It works as it normally would with knowing the spell. Wisdom is your casting modifier.

Wrathful Slam. Starting at level 10, once per Long rest you can expend your charge to jump and slam your hammer down, causing a tangle of vines and roots to shoot up from the ground. Creatures within 10 feet of the impact must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 piercing damage on a fail and half as much on a success. On a fail, creatures of size medium or smaller are restrained. Restrained creatures can take their action to attempt to make a DC 15 strength saving throw to break free.

Rotten Apples. Starting at level 15, two times per dawn, rotten apples grow on the handle of the hammer, able to be plucked off and thrown like bombs. Creatures within 10 feet of the explosion must make a DC 17 dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 acid damage on a fail and half as much on a success. On a fail, creatures are covered with acid, and must use an action to wipe it off, taking 2d6 acid damage at the start of their turn until they do.

Orchard's Wrath. Starting at level 20, thorns twist and wind over the head of the hammer, flowing with acidic liquid. On each hit you deal an extra 1d6 piercing damage, as well as 1d6 acid damage per hit. This ability is naturally on the hammer, and it does not replace the damage type. You also gain another charge, which can be expended to activate Wrathful Slam or deal an extra 1d6 of piercing and acid damage for the next minute.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
