Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a holding onto Zefra while enduring 1 lightning strike)

Born in the FeyWild, this sword was forged with mithral and copper during a thunderstorm. The blacksmith trapped lightning within its core giving it the power to command lightning and electricity. It’s edges are lined with copper, the handle is wrapped in a mithral and platinum infused band, and on the butt end of the sword carved in elvish is “Lightning Strikes twice.” Down the middle of the sword is copper elvish designs. Due to it the nature of its creation and where it was made, no normal being can command this sword. Only those with the determination to lead and learn may hope to learn how to use this swords power to their benefit. For the past 1,000 years it has been held by the soon by the Lord or Lady of House Yr’Ania. 

Upon attuning to Zefra, attacks with Zefra gain an extra 1d6 lightning damage and whoever wields Zefra gains resistance to thunder damage.

When in darkness,  Zefra emits light for 10 feet and an additional 10 feet of dim light. 
When first unsheathing Zefra, everyone in a 30 ft radius takes 1d6 lightning damage. This ability can only be used once per short rest. 

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
