This longsword encases an eldritch worm within a glass ball centered at the crossguard. This worm feeds on the blood of its victims, sapping their life force and feeding it to the wielder of this weapon.
Whenever you hit a creature with this weapon, your attack deals an additional 1d6 necrotic damage. You gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to damage dealt by this feature.
When you hit a creature that has the spellcasting feature and its hit points are reduced to zero, your DM chooses a spell from their spell list that you cannot already cast. You can now cast that spell once per long rest. *The DM can choose from innate spellcasting, pact magic, and spellcasting features.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
