The longbow is made from the ribcage bones of a long dead ancient silver dragon. There is no bow string, instead the bow string is an icy magical cord which produces arrows of cold in place when drawn.
EDIT/MORE...
While wielding this bow you have a +3 to hit/damage; additionally if firing the bow's own generated arrows any hit will cause an additional 1d6 cold damage to the target.
Also you may choose to fire a magical grappling arrow which can't miss the target 3x per long rest by using the command phrase "I am grasping virtue." The arrow fired will trail 100' of magic rope which can only be gripped by yourself and other allies; this rope will disappear after 10minutes.
If the longbow is wielded while wearing the companion 'Xanthriel's Imperial Scale of Virtue' then once per day the wielder may use the bow to invoke an ice storm as if cast at 7th level (ie. 5d8 bludgeoning + 4d6 cold damage).
Additionally, you can focus your senses as an action to magically discern the distance and direction to the closest silver dragon within 50 miles of you. This special action can't be used again until the next dawn.
If the wearer initiates an attack against a good aligned creature/entity then the armor reverts to a normal longbow +0 for 3 days.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Cold, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
