Weapon (double-bladed scimitar), legendary

The bow's wood is smooth and seamless with no marks from working, the wood is extremely dark with an unusual yet beautiful grain. The wood flows up into the odd bone like structures that make up both ends of the bow. The bone structures are stronger and harder then steel but lighter then true steel. The two hand guards are made from the same boney material. The bow is much lighter then it appears and the lightness beguiles the draw weight achieved by the combination of materials.

Track all charges on the bow version of this weapon

When the string is removed from the bow it can be flipped opposite to its normal position. This allows for the Hunter to expose the sharp serrated side of the carapace reinforcements using it as a double bladed scimitar. This ancient and sacred form of bladed staff has been used by the Needles in one form or another for millennia. Rare and legendary these weapons when recognized by followers of Mielikki pantheon will denote a measure of respect and interest. These rare and often magical blades are either earned through great service to the god or those chosen to champion the gods. This is a defensive weapon more then an offensive which is fitting as those who are granted it are often defenders of nature and the cycle.

Parrying Instinct

Starting at Level 6 the Hunters constant trails and training allow them to use a reaction and 1 charge to add 1 AC  for the duration of the round. At level 7 constant practice and devotion has made the rake and extension of the Hunters body. This instinctive reaction allows the Hunter to add 1 AC per Charge used. Using this reaction also unstrings the bow  with all standard rules required if the character wishes to reform the string.

Channeling blow

Starting at level 8 focusing on Mielikki influence over the natural elements allows the Hunters to channel elemental damage into their strike with the Rake. Spending 1 charge will allow the hunter to change the strikes damage type to either fire, ice or lighting damage. starting at level 10 the Hunter can spend and additional charge to add 1d4 of the chosen damage type, addition 1d4's can be added each subsequent one costing and addition charge on top of the pervious cost (first 1d4 costs 1, second costs 2 additional 3rd costs 3 charges)

Whirling Rake of Intersection

Starting at Level 9 the Hunters need to seek balance even at a personal cost enables them to take a defensively aggressive stance as a reaction the Hunter may expend 3 charges to add 3 to the AC of a creature within 5' of the hunter when the creature is attacked with a melee attack by a creature of no more then one size larger then the hunter.

Dance of the Whirling Blade

Starting at level 12 using the momentum of the whirling blade allows the Hunter to make Dex based savings throws against area effect spells with advantage for the cost of 1 charge.

The double-bladed scimitar is the signature weapon of Valenar elves. A haft of fine wood supports a long, curving blade on either end. Forged with techniques honed over centuries, these blades are strong, sharp, and remarkably light. Each scimitar is a masterpiece, and as a result the double-bladed scimitar is an expensive weapon (100 gp) — few though ever have the opportunity to purchase one. A Valenar blade in the hands of a non-elf is generally assumed to have been stolen or looted from a fallen foe, and a Valenar elf might feel entitled to demand its return or challenge the bearer to prove they’re worthy to wield it.

Special. If you attack with a double-bladed scimitar as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action immediately after to make a melee attack with it. This attack deals 1d4 slashing damage on a hit, instead of 2d4.
