Weapon (whip), artifact (requires attunement by a User must spend 1 hour attuning to item before being able to wield its full properties. )

An intricate silver arm bracelet in the shape of a snake. When activated, it extends and crackles with purple arcane lightning, a ferocious whip that seems to share the mind of it's wielder. The most notable wielders of Zidian are (formerly) Madam Yu Ziyuan of Lotus Pier, also known among Cultivators as The Violet Spider, and her son Jiang Wanyin. It's origins are unknown, however it has been passed down through many generations of First Disciples of the Meishan Yu sect.

Zidian bonds to its wielder, and the only way to break attunement with this item is for Zidian to deem another worthy of its power, or through it's user's demise. It is uncertain how Zidian determines those worthy, but each becomes a cornerstone name in history.

Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

While restrained by Zidian, a creature may attempt to break out of the restraint at the beginning of each of its turns. While restraining a creature, the wielder can automatically deal lightning damage if the creature has failed to free itself. The wielder must concentrate on restraining a creature as if it were a spell. When struck by an enemies attack, the wielder must make a Concentration Check (Constitution Saving Throw) appropriate to damage received (half damage or 10, whichever is higher). , User must spend 1 hour attuning to item before being able to wield its full properties. , Finesse, Reach, Slow
