Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Good aligned creature.)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Dragonslayer. When you hit a dragon of evil alignment using this weapon, it deals an additional 2d8 cold damage.

Ptarian Valour. When you face the foes of Bahamut, the soul of the Ptarian paladin imprisoned within the blade aids you. While attuned to this item you are immune to the effects of the Frightful Presence ability of evil-aligned dragons.

Sentience. Thimris, the Silver Claw is a sentient Lawful Good weapon with an Intelligence of 16, a Wisdom of 13, and a Charisma of 21. It has hearing and normal vision out to a range of 60 feet.

The weapon can speak, read, and understand both Common and Draconic, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically.

Personality. Thimris, the Silver Claw speaks with a calm and curious tone. It enjoys speaking to its wielder, as that is who its communicative abilities are limited to.

Thimris does not enjoy combat, and will often retreat into the sword and become quiet when things get violent. However, it recognizes its purpose as being a tool against evil, and accepts this necessary discomfort for short whiles at a time.

Once, Thimris was a Ptarian paladin of Celestia. Upon his death, a sword within his hoard absorbed his soul, albeit in a weakened state. During the thousands of years that have passed since, Thimris has been given to Ptarian paladins on the Material Plane in times of distress, in regions where chromatic dragon influence is strong. Many hands have held it, but when their time has passed, Thimris must be returned to Bahamut's Palace on the plane of Celestia, to patiently await the next wielder. Thimris is forbitten to speak of Celestia, or any of its former wielders.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
