Strange that the item art has the Abjuration icon (from the spell schools) and a closed eye - Illusion icon. Seems like it should be the Divination icon instead?

You can get a Message though, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.

If I am using this item, people can't scry on me, but what if they are trying to scry on a particular item I am wearing? Such as a cloak of protection? How would that work? 

What's the difference between this and a Ring of Mind Shielding?

Reading the description it seems as if the ring is better than the amulet.

The item probably has that as it is using abjuration magic to protect the user from divination spells

Just noticed that the symbols on this amulet are a combination of the symbols of Abjuration and Illusion magic, as seen in the icons for spells of those respective schools. It looks like the eye for Illusion is closed. Pretty neat inclusion 

Interesting that this specifies that only Divination spells are negated. So theoretically you could use Drawmji's Instant Summons to locate somebody using one of these.
