You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magical weapon.

Whenever you roll a Natural 20 on an attack roll made with this weapon, you immediately fire a second bolt, make another attack roll.

You may choose to empty the magazine if you have 7 shots or more remaining to fire into a 10-foot radius circle. Any creature in the circle must make a Dexterity saving throw, with the DC being 8 + number of bolts remaining + your Dex Bonus. On a failure, the target takes 2d10+your Dex Bonus damage. On a success, the target takes half damage.  This attack cannot be used with the Sneak Attack feature.

This weapon ignores the Loading property of crossbows, and has 12 bolts built into its integral magazine. When a magazine is emptied, a bonus action is required to reload the magazine.

Whenever you roll a Natural 1 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the weapon misfires. The backblast deals 1d10 radiant damage to you, and you must immediately reload magazines.

Proficiency with a Heavy Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
