Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Needs Attunement: Requires powder of a prismatic crystal encased in a shell of solidified ash to be crushed in the hand of the wielder to bind the weapon to the soul of the user.)

Also known as the Shattersword. This weapon appears to be created from hundreds of small shards and resembles the shape of a scimitar. At the will of the wielder, the blade can shatter and the pieces will follow the general direction of the hilt, but also can move according to how the wielder wishes.

While attacking with this weapon, you ignore any bonuses to AC applied by shields or any kind of magical armour on the creature you are attacking. If you miss an attack with this weapon, you can roll to attack again. If this attack misses, you cannot attack again using this ability.

As a bonus action, you can command the blade to shatter, increasing the reach of the weapon to 10ft. This effect lasts for 1 minute, or until the wielder uses a bonus action or an action to stop. If the user is knocked unconscious or dies while this effect is active, the weapon will remain shattered until the user is conscious or the weapon is reattuned.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
