Up to 2 times per day, you can use an action to summon magic from the glove. When you use it roll twice on the wild magic table (see wild magic sorcerer's origin) and choose one of the affects to happen. You could also modify this so that it only works some of the time or change the list of magical affects that you roll to choose. It's literally a glove that shoots magic.
Fun possible role play could also be that the glove is "broken" and needs to get fixed before it can summon reliable magic.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
