Armor (shield), legendary
While holding this shield, you have a +2 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. It also grants the following addtional features when the user suffers a critical hit (roll randomly):
- All allies within 30 feet of the wielder heal for 1 HD of damage
- A terrain appropriate young chromatic dragon is summoned that serves for 1 minute.
- A fireball triggers at the location of the wielder that detonates per the spell (DC 15) but with an energy type that makes sense based on the terrain and the associated chromatic dragon – acid (swamp), cold (arctic), fire (volcanic), lightning (desert) and poison (forest). The wielder is immune to this effect but not its allies.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
