A yari is a subtype of a spear, with a slick, doublesided blade and a very long tang, which sometimes goes till the half of the handle. A yari is also known for its lightweight and mobility, thus, it uses Dexterity bonus on the attack and damage rolls. It deals 1d8 piercing damage if used with two hands and 1d6 piercing damage if used with one hand, the yari also has the light property. It is a simple weapon, which explains it`s popularity among common folk. You cannot throw this weapon though, but it has the reach property.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
