Weapon (longsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Shadowcat Warlock.)

This item appears to be a engraved nethersteel longsword hilt. While grasping the hilt, you can use a bonus action to cause a blade of pure shadow to spring into existence, or make the blade disappear. While the blade exists, this magic longsword has the finesse property. If you are proficient with shortswords or longswords, you are proficient with the Umbral Blade.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack, spell attack and damage rolls made with this weapon, which deals void damage instead of slashing damage. This weapon also alter its attuned master’s eldritch blast damage to void damage aswell. 

(Void Damage functions similarly to psychic but attacks made with type of damage nullifies healing till the end of your next turn when an enemy is struck.

While the blade is expanded, you can use an action to cast DarknessThe blade can't be used this way again until the next dawn.

The sword's somber blade drains light in a 15-foot radius around it, reducing it's surrounding to dim light if it's brightly lit or darkness if it's in dim light. While the blade persists, you can use an action to expand or reduce its radius of darkness or dim light by 5 feet, to a maximum of 30 feet or a minimum of 10 feet.

Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
