A twisted blade once wielded by the Old Wrought Iron Sentry. Despite its gruesome appearance, the profile of the weapon holds some resemblances to the old blessed blades of the Moon Touched Sentinels, perhaps alluding to its previous purpose before it befell to the fog.
The blade itself seems slightly warm to the touch, almost alive as the grain of the metal seems to constantly move when under close inspection. If someone were to look deeper into the blade, it seems to respond to your actions and words, with the edge glowing cerulean ever so slightly in response, perhaps it's trying to tell you something?
You have +2 to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
During the attunement process, you can choose one of three forms, Longsword or Greatsword. At the end of the attunement process, the weapon transforms into the weapon of choice
While attuned to this weapon, you gain the following benefits.
These benefits use charges of Living Metal. You have a total of 3 charges. You regain 1 charge at the end of a long rest. If all charges are expended, this weapon can still be used as a magical weapon.
You can use your action to expend 1 charge of Living Metal to stab the end of the sword into the ground and cause a point you can see within 60ft to have wrought iron spears burst from the ground in a 20ft radius. All creatures within the radius must make a (DC 16) Dexterity Save or take (8d6 Piercing) and begin bleeding. Creatures who are bleeding take (1d6 Piercing) at the beginning of their turn until they heal at least 1 hitpoint. Creatures who succeed the save take half damage and don't bleed.
You can use your action to make a single attack using 3 charges of Living Metal. You gain an additional (10d6 slashing) on that attack. On a successful attack, the target must make a (DC: 18) Constitution saving throw, or begin bleeding. Creatures who are bleeding take (1d10 Piercing) at the beginning of their turn until they regain at least 10 hp. If the attack crits, the bleeding damage is also doubled for the duration of the bleed and the weapon becomes inert, unable to be used as a weapon as the blade becomes nothing more than a slab of steel.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Finesse, Light, Vex
