Rod, legendary

Forged eons ago by the Wind Dukes of Aaqa, powerful creatures of law, for use in their war against the Queen of Chaos, the Rod of Seven Parts was sundered in the cataclysmic Battle of Pesh. Its seven fragments scattered themselves across worlds and planes, but have since been known to surface here and there during times of great need.

Each fragment retains at least a fragment of the mighty magic that once coursed through the complete Rod. This particular piece of the rod is 15-inches long and once made up the tip of the original rod.

Fragmental Magic. While wielding this piece of the rod, you can use it to cast the Heal-spell at 9th-level as an Action. After using this property of the piece, it can't be used again until the next Dawn.

Fragment Sensor. While holding a piece of the Rod of Seven Parts, you can use an Action to cast the Locate Object-spell at will. This casting of the spell must have the next piece of the rod of larger size as its target, but there is, in turn, no limit on the range out to which you can detect the rod fragment, and it isn't blocked by lead.

Unfortunately, this particular fragment of the Rod of Seven Parts is the largest of the seven pieces and cannot be used for detecting any other pieces of the rod.
