A miniaturized sun is magically suspended in the blade. A race of magical creatures capable of this incredible feat would have been long dead for they certainly would not hesitate to exert their magically influence over the cosmos.

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While wielding this sword, you deal and extra 1d8 fire damage to each creature you hit with this, and you have resistance to fire damage.

Sunder - Should you get a critical hit or reduce an enemy to 0 hit points, fire will leap to up to 2 other creatures within 10 feet, dealing 1d8 fire damage.

Sunlight - The sun within your sword will light up to 10 feet around it in bright light, and another 10 feet of dim light. As an action, you can expand the bright light to 30 feet until the start of your next turn.

Solar Flare - You can cast a Fireball (Save DC 17) from the sun on the sword, but you cannot cast it again until the next dawn.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
