There is a long and dark history to the item known as the Witchbone wand. Made from the actual bone of a powerful witch by the druid who killed her, this wand was created when the druid used her magics to form a tree through the entirety of the witch's body. As branches and vines sprouted from within the very being of the witch, her body was rent asunder, coating the wood and bone with her very essence, infusing the materials with her power, her corruption, and her very soul. From then on, the wand has only passed hands through the death of its previous owners, most of which were often violent and brutal deaths by hateful rage-infused magic.
While wielding this wand, users might often hear the faintest of whispers, sometimes of dark entities, victims of the wand, the dying moments of previous owners, or in a few cases: the witch herself. The Main power of the wand, aside from acting as an arcane focus, is that it grants the user the ability to cast an enhanced version of Witch bolt, as well as giving the user the power to alter self up to their proficiency bonus per day, resetting after a long rest.
Notes: Bonus: Proficiency Bonus, Frightened, bathing it in the blood of the previous owner. If the blood no longer exists, a special paste may be crafted from their bones.
