This small pocketwatch appears completely busted. The hands turn in opposite directions, and every once in a while they skip numbers randomly, the watch dial pops in and out only to reassemble itself and if you were to wind it, it would unsync these behaviors even more. Aside from that, it is indeed a beautiful watch, carefully made, and of great craftsmanship.
Once attuned to it, its seemingly confusing movements seem to make sense. Staring at it appears to reveal some kind of pattern, although you could not really explain how it works. You may do up to 2 of the following effects per day as an action. The item recharges every 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds.
Minor Haste. You gain +1 to AC, your speed increases by 15ft, you add 1d6 to your Dexterity saving throws, and you may take an additional action during your turn. This action follows the rules of the extra action that the Haste spell provides. You can only affect yourself with this effect. This effect lasts for 1 minute, after which the effect ends. When the effect ends your speed drops to 0 and you may not take reactions nor bonus actions until the end of your next turn. You must maintain concentration in this effect.
Concentrated Slow. You may cast the Slow spell on a single creature within 100ft. You must maintain concentration in this effect.
Micro-Paradox. When a friendly creature within 30ft of you misses an attack roll or fails a saving throw or ability check, you suffer a flashback, as if this was just a possibility in time. You may activate this effect to make them automatically succeed on it, and the moment of their failure seems like a simple product of your imagination, as if it never had happened. This effect is hard to process for your brain, which is not used to this kind of interactions. You suffer 1d10 psychic damage and are blinded until the end of your next turn, forced to close your eyes for a moment to take in the information your brain thinks was true.
If the attuned creature is a Divination School or a Chronurgy School wizard, ignore all detrimental effects from the Minor Haste and the Micro Paradox effect, as you are used to dealing with magically influencing time.
