The power of this item lies within the round Sapphire gem that rests on an etched golden bracer, this stone can be activated using a command word causing a large shield of pure arcane energy to form. This shield grants resistance to all ranged attacks except ranged spells. 
   It holds a number of charges equal to the users CHA modifier which can be used to reflect the incoming damage from a ranged attack or ranged attack spell. 
- using a reaction you can expend a charge thus rolling a CHA saving throw contested against the ranged attack made on you, on a success the damage is sent back at the caster at half damage with a bolt of force energy. If the save is 10 or higher the damage is sent back at full damage. 

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
