This ornate longsword seamlessly blends both organic and inorganic components, featuring a subtly animated handle that shifts and grows to better match the grip of its wielder and an pommel depicting an acorn on one side, an apple on the other. Decorated with shifting runes reminiscent of sylvan script, the metal work shows signs of corrosion and tarnish upon its edge, but this has done naught to diminish its sharpness. The entire blade perpetually radiates a gentle warmth, as if left out beneath the sun on a summer day.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
In addition, when attuned to this weapon, it gains the following properties:
- The heat contained within the longsword holds back all but the fiercest of chills. You have resistance to cold damage, but the first time that you draw Toil during combat, you take 1d8 fire damage.
- You can use a bonus action to wreathe the blade in hard spikes and thorns. In doing so, you take 2d4 piercing damage, but each hit with Toil for the next minute deals an additional 1d4 piercing damage. Once you have used Toil in this way, you cannot do so until the next noon.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
