You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
XOR can be in one of three states, Blades, Bow, and Beacon. Each state has its own custom abilities. You may change between states as a bonus action.
Bow. While in this state, XOR functions as a shortbow, which creates its own ammunition (no reloading required). Once per day, this state can cast the Flame Arrows spell as a bonus action. When you take damage, you make concentration checks as if you had cast the spell. On a failure, the spell ends. The spell will also end if XOR is changed to a different state.
Blades. While in this state, XOR splits into two shortswords. Each of these shortswords has its own signature spell. Zap, one of the shortswords, has a jagged, thunder-like blade. As an action, you may speak Zap's command word, causing the blade to open up and release a Lightning Bolt out of it. Drench, the other shortsword, has a wavy, waterlike blade. As an action, you may speak Drench's command word, causing the blade to open up and release a torrential Tidal Wave out of it (This tidal wave must be cast as a 30 ft. long by 10 ft. wide line, originating from the sword). Each of these signature spells may only be used once per day, and once one sword's spell is cast, you must wait an hour before using the other one. When you use a bonus action to change XOR to the Blades state, you may choose to only have one of the two swords manifest. You may choose which one.
Beacon. While in this state, XOR's extensions collapse into the handle. This handle appears to be nothing more than a spiraled copper cylinder. As a bonus action, you may speak the Beacon's command word to cause the end of the handle to glow. This glow casts bright light in a 30 ft. cone in front of it, and dim light for another 30 ft. cone beyond that (the dim light extends in a 60 ft. cone from the Beacon). This light disappears if XOR is changed to a different state. When you use a bonus action to change XOR to the beacon state, you may choose whether the light is on or off. Once per day, as an action, you may cast the Fireworks option of the Pyrotechnics spell 120 ft. in a straight line from the Beacon. If this line is interrupted before reaching the full 120 ft. distance, it explodes immediately.
The save DC for spells cast by XOR is 17.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
