This item consists of two silvery orbs which are attuned to each other.

Holding one of these orbs to your ear causes it to immediately shapeshift into a worm and wriggle speedily into your ear.

While host to one of these worms you can:

1. Send messages back and forth to the person hosting the worm attuned to yours (note, person must already be able to cast Message in order to use this feature - it does not use spell slots or consume any materials). There is no maximum range and this will work even if you are on different planes of existence. 

2. Become aware when someone tries to infiltrate your mind, either to control you or read your thoughts. The worm will let out a small alarm which can only be heard internally when this happens and you gain advantage in resisting it.
