This shield is made of silver imbued with the divine energy of the Silver Flame. This swirling energy is stored within two Kyber Dragon Shards inlaid to the eyes of a roaring lion depicted on the front.

When an Aasamir is attuned to this shield, they gain the following benefits:

Protection of the Flame: This is a +1 shield

Wings of the Flame: While raging, this shield allows the wearer to use their wings at will until the rage ends.

Intercession: As a reaction, if a creature within 5 feet of you fails a strength, dexterity or constitution saving throw against an attack or spell effect you can see, you can step in front of them. This reaction causes you to take the full effect of the attack or spell (you automatically fail the save), leaving the defended creature completely unharmed. If you perform this reaction, you take half damage from the attack or spell, while your shield gathers the other half of the damage taken and stores it as energy, but you still are effected by any additional effects from the attack or spell as if you had failed the save. Before the end of your next turn, the first time you hit with an attack, that attack deals additional radiant damage equal to that absorbed by the shield. If you do not hit a creature before the end of your next turn, you take the remaining radiant damage.

 

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
