You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
This item, an intricately carved dragon-bone boomerang with details of wings and blowing wind, is inlaid with three magic gems, each of which is imbued with the spell Gust of Wind. Each of these gems can be activated once per day upon a throw of the boomerang to engage the spell. When coupled with the boomerang’s spinning motion, the gust of wind will pick up any small objects (50 lbs max) within its path and bring them to the thrower of the boomerang. This spell can also be used in combat to pull an enemy combatant 20 ft toward the thrower of the boomerang. Unwilling creatures of medium size or smaller must succeed on a DC 15 strength saving throw or be pulled 20 ft forward. Creatures of large size have advantage on this saving throw while creatures of huge size are unaffected. Activating two of the inlaid gems increases the power of the gust, creating disadvantage for medium or smaller creatures, negating the advantage for large creatures, and affecting huge creatures (who will have advantage on their saving throw). Activating all three gems at once creates an instant success on medium or smaller creatures, imposes disadvantage on large creatures, and negates the advantage for huge creatures. Gargantuan creatures are always unaffected by the boomerang’s magic abilities.
The boomerang is a ranged weapon, and any creature proficient with the javelin is also proficient with this weapon.
On a miss, a boomerang returns to the thrower's hand.
