*Must be used by a a monk or barbarian for full effect*

*Non spell casting Barbarians, fighters, monks and rogues wearing these get a +3 to hit and Damage with unarmed attacks-if worn by a spellcaster these wraps have no effect

These Silken wristwraps have arcane symbols embroidered throughout granting protection frommagics that would do harm to the wearer.

  • When someone you can see or hear is casting a damage dealing spell at you you may use your reaction to reduce the spells damage, deflecting or catching it. 
    • damage reduction is 1/2 your proficiency modifier times your level in monk or barbarian plus 1 hit die+ str or dex mod (your choice)
      • or (1/2 prof x lvl) + (hd+str/dex mod)
    • if you reduce the damage you would take to 0 you may choose to throw the spell back- This cost 1 ki point for a monk or your bonus action during your next turn for a barbarian-
    • The spell save doesn't change (if applicable) on spells Returned this way, treat attack rolls as though proficient using your str or dex modifier (your choice)
  • When you are within 10 feet of the focal point of a damage dealing AOE spell that you can see or hear the casting of- you may use your reaction to attempt to deflect it or throw it back, rolling a D%
    • if you roll less than your level in monk/ barbarian you may catch the aoe spell and refocus its center on the caster, keeping all saves.
    • if you roll less than 2x your level but not less than youe level you may redirect the focal point up to 5x1d4 feet away from its original designated casting point.
    • if you roll above an 80 the spell goes off centered on you and you automatically fail the save
  • On your turn you may use your Bonus Action To Take up a defensive stance, if you do you may attempt to deflect or snare ALL damage dealing spells targeting only you and all Aoe Damage dealing spells centered on a point within 15 feet of you.
    • choosing this as an action allows you to roll 2 additional hit die to deflect/ catch single target spells- Barbarians dont lose their bonus action next turn for returning spells.
    • choosing this as an action increases the ranges you need to roll under for an AOE spell by 1/2 your level in monk / barbarian or your proficiency modifier, whichever is higher.
      • this also increases the deflection range to 5x2d4
      • the percent chance critical failure is reduced to above a 90
